Poem #41
I robbed the Woods-
The trusting Woods.
The unsuspecting Trees
Brought out their Burs and mosses
My fantasy to please.
I scanned their trinkets curious-
I grasped- I bore away-
What will the solemn Hemlock-
What will the Oak tree say?
Description
To me this poem is a little more self explanatory than most. I love how she always twists it around where we are intruding on nature. And this is exactly how I feel when walking through the woods, being surrounded by nature we are so fortunate it lets us in. We are the visitor, the guest, and what an honor to be invited in.
