Were Nature Mortal Lady

Were nature mortal lady
who had so little time
To pack her trunk and order
The great exchange of clime —

How rapid, how momentous –
what exigencies were –
But nature will be ready
And have an hour to spare.

To make some trifle fairer
That was too fair before
Enchanting by remaining,
And by departure more.

Emily Dickinson #1762(TJ)

Description,

Nature will take away your problems because it always has time to listen. Everything good in life takes time. I’m afraid we might be cutting ourselves short in life to get somewhere faster, and the only place we are getting faster to is our death. So, stop and take the long way, walk instead of drive, draw instead of photograph, and look at a tree instead of TV. Humans are always in a rush, “Were mortal lady who had so little time”. Take the time and immerse yourself in nature because, “nature will be ready/And have an hour to spare.” It will take away your problems making, “some trifle fairer/That was too fair before”. By being there and listening “Enchanting by remaining” like a great psychiatrist.
